Besdoung Kok Kdao

This drama was sweet, warm, and made me feel very cozy every time I tuned in for an episode.

It doesn’t have the best script in the world, and sometimes the relationships were an absolute jumble of confused push and pull, but the actors managed to always bring some light and smiles.

Every episode made me want another, simply for the beautiful scenery and the delightful acting. Each actor was so talented and I cannot wait to see what they do next. To put it simply, Warm and Cozy was a fun simple romantic delight.

P.S. It’s a nice break from super heavy melodramas

Just like it’s title, the drama is soo ‘Warm and Cozy’! I love this drama so much! It was such an enjoyable ride! It has a very light, fluffy, cute story. I feel all warm and cozy when watching this drama, the actors did a very good job in potraying each character. The music was definitely good, and it gave us so many feels of the drama! Good job warm and cozy team, will miss this drama a lot! 🙂

One would expect a ‘Warm and Cozy’ drama to stay like that. However this quickly deteriorated into a boring and pointless drama. Don’t get me wrong. The leads, romance, atmosphere and setting are all lovely. It has its strengths and won’t fail to entertain you- depending on what you think entertaining is. If you’re looking for some laughs, random cuteness and eye candy this drama is for you. Else, look away.

This drama can best be compared to Full House. Their resemblance at times was eery. Both dramas have a bickering couple, cuteness, a killer OST and a lot of repetitiveness. It’s basically the whole back and forth of will-they-wont-they. The thing is you already know the answer and if you are not patient or if you don’t have a lot of time on your hands you’d just want to give up.

I wish this drama could have remained the way it was introduced. A bit random but fresh with a lot of appeal. I won’t say the freshness died or anything because come on, it is set in JEJU frickkin island. The cinematography was killer and the lead pair is endlessly soothing to look at. I really enjoyed the old school Kdrama style it followed at times but during others it made me want to tear my hair out.

I didn’t have the will to rate it higher than a 8 nor did I have the heart to rate it lower. The second leads are terrible in the drama. The other couple (hyung and the diver lady) were the funniest till their relationship had nothing left anymore.

I want to mention the little attempt the drama makes at encouraging people to try living in Jeju- including foreigners. I liked how they have little programs for people to adjust to the lifestyle there. Plus they showed a really nice relationship of the people living there. The mayor was shown as a sweetheart to all the people and the way he went around in his bicycle was adorable. <3

Baek Geon Woo was a cutie at times and a jerk at others. I wish Lee Jung Joo could be a bit hard at times but she was too soft-hearted. A classic Kdrama heroine in short. Think of Full House and the characters are almost a replica at times. I dunno if anyone else felt that way or not but I did.

Anyway, I had a lot of issues with the drama but couldn’t get to rate it any lower. Like Dramabeans says, how much I enjoyed it v/s how much it deserves- I’d say an 8 v/s 6. That’s it. Now decide for yourself whether you wanna watch it or not.

It’s even worse for Pim – Pimphan Chalainakup in the drama “Long Ngao” on PPTV HD, Channel 36. Most recently, she teased Gypsy – Keerati Mahaphruekphong, her future daughter-in-law who is pregnant. like every other medical dramas out there- this isn’t an exception on educating the viewers, however I don’t know how plausible each treatment is, it was entertaining to watch. The medicinal methods in the drama must have been heavily based on real life. I kept pausing mid way and googling which ingredients did what and it was fun searching even though a big chunk of it was in Thai. The medicine and the whole concept of historical doctors was fascinating overall.

I usually don’t watch this type of Drama. But with Kimberley and Mario starring in the drama I had to watch (didn’t know if it was anything like Thong Ek). I love the cast. I love the history of Thailand and the rich culture that the drama brings forth. I am a little over the kiss, people hopping from bed scene to another bed, someone dying and FL or ML falls in love with who is responsible, etc… This drama has my interest of learning about Thailand. It’s fun, but also has a learning theme. I will look forward to more dramas of this type.

This series is very well paced. Knowing that this is the first relationship for both leads tells the audience that this would be a slow-burn romance. However, due to her naiveness in relationships, the ML is very patient in not rushing the moment which makes the ‘Slowly, slowly’ song from the OST perfect for this drama. The sweet buildup to a kiss and shyness just adds to the enduring quality of this writing.
I really can’t accept people mentioning and comparing meet yourself with this drama … it’s a totally different thing , it’s a healing life drama and it’s relatable and realistic … Not like this one where leads just fell in love with each other’s voice and get together without any chemistry . Everything in Meet yourself is another level music, vibes and their relationship with every character in the drama … I won’t judge this drama because it’s not my cup of tea …

I was not planning on watching this drama. I clicked on the first episode just out of curiosity. What I wasn’t expecting is to be hooked since the opening credits.
I absolutely devoured ‘Unhating You’. The chemistry is amazing. The male lead is ridiculously handsome and the female lead…, this woman can act! Watching both of them interact was a treat.
Thankfully, the plot is not overly dramatic like lakorns usually are (which tires me quite a bit) Still, it has many twists and turns that are very fun to watch.
I highly recommend it! I am probably going to watch it again at some point.

The storyline of Romance of a Twin Flower sounds tropey – fall off cliff, switch identity, amnesia, an egregious antagonist, an admirer turns deadly, and more – but the execution of it is excellent with intact scriptwriting, directing and acting. The setting is authentic, the costumes are nicely done and beautiful, the dialogs are as expected, and the logic is sound. Most of all, the chemistry of the main couple is good and believable.

The drama opens with Nie Sangyu (Peng Xiaoran) falling off a cliff. She is then rescued but has totally lost her memory. Nie Sangyu is a cruel and despicable person, but the rescued Nie Sangyu is a kind and very lovable person. Turns out the rescued Nie Sangyu is not the original Nie Sangyu, but no one suspects that she’s not the real one because they look exactly the same except different in temperament and character.

Nie Sangyu is married to Marquis Ning Yuxuan (Ding Yuxi) who is forced to marry her, but he dislikes her because the original Nie Sangyu is not likable. After going through all the life and death experiences together, both the fake Nie Sangyu and Ning Yuxuan fall in love with each other. When he finds out Nie Sangyu’s real identity as Ji Man, Ning Yuxuan wants to marry her, but this must be done privately because her real identity cannot be revealed to others just yet. Their wedding is disrupted unexpectedly as the events unfold.

Both Peng Xiaoran and Ding Yuxi have given a wonderful performance here. Their characters are believable and lovable. I have loved Peng Xiaoran since Goodbye My Princess. Here, she is beautiful and natural. Ding Yuxi may not be everyone’s pretty boy and he’s not tall in stature, but he’s a wonderful actor. I have enjoyed all his dramas.

The antagonists are made known from the beginning. Ma Ke plays Ling Jianxing as Ning Yuxuan’s nemesis. Throughout Ning Yuxuan’s career, Ling Jianxing has always been there to create stumbling blocks for him, many times deadly, but each time, Ning Yuxuan is a step ahead of Ling Jianxing.

Ning Yuxuan also has a concubine whom he marries for a reason. Wen Wan (Jia Nai) is the most hated character in the story. Hypocritical, jealous, murderous, Wen Wan wants Nie Sangyu dead, and sabotages her repeatedly. Again and again Nie Sangyu dodges death through her quick wit and help from Ning Yuxuan.

Luckily, we have an intelligent and benevolent emperor here that makes the story very pleasant. The two maids that follow Nie Sangyu/Ji Man around are sweet, and her friends are trusty and dependable. Ning Yuxuan’s loyal bodyguard, Gui Bai (He Changxi), is also an interesting and lovable character. There are some very lovely side couples with their respective sweet romance. Too bad a secret admirer whom I have come to like, becomes a deadly antagonist.

My Verdict
Despite all the tropes and cliché, and some plot holes here and there (eg. how Ji man loses her memory), this is a very enjoyable drama. For romance buffs, this is not smooth sailing for the couple; they are separated for one year (for an acceptable reason) before getting back together again. Great acting, lovely story, and good directing.

Well, I quite enjoyed this. The mystery was developed and resolved in a satisfying manner but execution was kinda lacking. I wouldn’t say there are loose ends, it just doesn’t feel tight and neat. They introduced certain plot points they didn’t really know how to use properly. Characters were interesting and the cast mostly did well. If anyone told me during the first episode that Phaphaeng would become my favorite character, I would call them crazy – but she did become my favorite lol. Pim was outstanding, she acted her heart out. So, bonus points for her performance and the police – because they, for change, weren’t corrupt nor incompetent. 8/10

So I watched it raw version up to the latest ep (Ep 12), and we still don’t know what exactly happened to Queen, lol. Looking forward to the finale next week. This drama is well-crafted to hide the true killer (or if it’s suicide or accident) by throwing at the viewers a lot of suspects with their own motivations to kill.
